About this Course

This PADI Divemaster rating is the first rung on the PADI Professional ladder. It is an extremely thorough and character-building course that will train an individual in the PADI system of teaching (including some courses that a DM themselves may conduct), assisting instructors on PADI programmes, guiding divers and looking after clients.

The PADI Divemaster is physically tough and mentally challenging. It prepares you thoroughly for the responsibility of looking after others underwater and being a competent assistant to Instructors in teaching activities. The Divemaster course requires a significant investment of time, money, energy and commitment.

At this stage of your development, we also recommend dedicated training in boat handling, and thus getting the RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification. In Antibes, we recommend BlueWater for this and other RYA training.

What's included?

Pre-Requisites

18 years old
Solid motivation
PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver or equivalent
40 logged dives to start the course and 60 logged dives to be certified with experience of Deep, Night and Navigation
Emergency First Response up to date within the last 24 months
PADI Medical form signed by a General Pratictioner within the last 12 months

Program

day 1 AND 2

The course schedule is provisionally agreed with the client during the planning meeting at the beginning. Meet up times are typically 8.15am and 2.00pm respectively. Each day typically finishes after a debriefing at 6.00pm. The client, as an entry level dive professional is jointly responsible for planning their training.
