Advanced Nitrox
About this Course
The Advanced Nitrox course is essentially the start of technical diving. It opens up the possibility of longer deep dives on some of the magnificent wrecks and pinnacles that are typical in the South of France. You’ll learn the following:
• Detailed dive and gas planning discipline using two gases (air or normal Nitrox plus deco mix, and gas switching on a multi gas computer). This includes notions of communication, proximity and teamwork.
• Equipment considerations of a six litre pony bottle containing a Nitrox mix of upwards of 50% Oxygen.
• Buoyancy, trim and stress analysis.
• Shut down cycle and switching to back up regulator.
• Physics and physiology relating to gas mixes over 40% Oxygen.

Pre-Requisites
- 18 years old or 15 with parental consent
- To want to do it
- Nitrox and Deep certified with a minimum of 40 logged dives
- Medical form signed by a Sports or Diving Doctor within 12 months

RDV times for the dives are 8.30am and we highly recommend this Specialty is done over four mornings. The dives will be finished at Midday and it is possible to do other training or fun dives in the afternoon.
