Enriched Air Nitrox
About this Course
This course is the most popular PADI Specialty in the world. Nitrox is simply air with more Oxygen added. Diving with Nitrox has a number of very appealing advantages:
• Increases your safety margins when pushing air limits
• Less fatigue
• Longer no decompression times, particularly on repetitive dives
• Allows for shorter surface intervals
It is pretty much essential for liveaboard and unlimited resort diving, and very useful indeed for multiple dives on multiple days. The course teaches you about the equipment, and all of the necessary precautions and dive planning procedures used to dive safely with Enriched Air.
What's included?
- 1 confined water dive and 1 boat dive
- Tuition by an experienced PADI Course Director including classroom session and practical applications
- Theory via the excellent PADI eLearning platform
- Diving equipment rental (we highly recommend you purchase your own dive computer – please ask for advice pre-purchase)
- PADI certification fees
Pre-Requisites
- 12 years old
- To want to do it
- (Junior) Open Water certification or equivalent
- PADI Medical form signed by a General Pratictioner within 12 months
Program
day 1 AND 2
RDV 8.30am and 2.00pm for the two dives. We typically finish at Midday, giving you a two-hour lunch break, then the day will end at around 6.00pm. If you choose the option without open water dives the course is completed over a half day in the afternoon.
